Roosters Takes Its Men's Grooming Services to Leesburg

The upscale barber provides a service for men seeking something between a cheap haircut and a salon.

Amy and Larry Hall are not hairstylists, yet they noticed an underserved area in that industry and jumped at the chance. The technology professionals kept their day jobs, but opened the region’s first Roosters Men’s Grooming Center in Ashburn in 2011.

Last week, they held the grand opening ceremony for their second shop in Bellewood Commons in Leesburg, right next to Duncan Donuts.

The Halls found that Loudoun lacked an upscale barber for men. Check out the videos to learn more from an interview Wednesday with Amy Hall and from Friday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony with Leesburg officials and a representative from the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.

“We were met with such an overwhelmingly positive response when we first opened in Ashburn that our dream to open a second location in Loudoun County is now becoming a reality,” Amy Hall said in an announcement prior to the opening.

Roosters offers full grooming services for men, including haircuts, shaves with hot towels, deep cleansing facial massages, moisturizing lotions and quality hair and skin care products. Patrons sit in an oversized leather barber chair, and even get a post-cut shampoo. Notice a little neck hair between trims? Stop by for a free neck shave between cuts.

Military, police, fire, emergency and Loudoun County employees receive special “hero” discounts, and all customers are automatically enrolled in the Roosters loyalty program and earn points toward free services with every visit.

In addition, Roosters invited Operation Second Chance, which benefits servicemen wounded in the line of duty, to its grand opening to gain exposure.

“Operation Second Chance is thrilled when like-minded businesses help us raise awareness about our organization and the many sacrifices that our Armed Forces make for our continued freedom,” said Cindy McGrew, President & Founder of Operation Second Chance.

The Halls expect to open their third Roosters soon in Herndon as well. The larger Roosters franchise has locations across the country.

Roosters MGC is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Call ahead, or walk in.
