Sweetz Bakery Set to Open in Leesburg
New retail location in Battlefield Shopping Center; kiosk at Dulles Town Center to remain open.
Fans of Sweetz Bakery's cupcakes, cakes, cookies and many other assorted baked treats will soon have a Leesburg retail location to visit in the Battlefield Shopping Center at Edwards Ferry Road and Route 15, near Michaels. Sweetz will continue to operate its kiosk at the Dulles Town Center Mall, according to owner Trang Bowers.
The Battlefield Shopping Center location provides much-needed production space and will give the bakery room for a new, expanded menu, Bowers said.
Bowers added they hope to open the new space in late summer.
