Ladies Board Awards $112,000 to Nursing Students

The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital is pleased to announce that it recently awarded 65 nursing scholarships for a total of $112,000.   Awards range from $1,000 to $2,200.  Recipients are enrolled in LPN, RN, BSN, MSN and DNP programs at 21 different schools including Monroe Technology Center, which has received support of The Ladies Board for more than 25 years.

The Ladies Board scholarship program was established in 1959 to award supplemental funds to worthy nursing students.   In the past 55 years The Ladies Board has awarded nearly 1000 scholarships, totaling over $1,300,000.  As the program has grown, so has the quality and diversity of applicants.

The Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital, Twice Is Nice Thrift Shop in Leesburg, the Lights of Love remembrance program and the Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale raise funds for this important project.
