The annual fundraiser brought in just over $260,000, which will be donated to a number of local charities.

The Dulles Greenway’s 7th annual “Drive for Charity” was held on Thursday, May 17. The event raised just over $260,000, which will be donated to a number of local organizations. They include:

  • The March of Dimes
  • Every Citizen Has Opportunity (ECHO)
  • Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS)
  • Fresh Air/Full Care
  • The Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy
  • Dulles Greenway Scholarship Program -- where the Greenway awards $1,500 to one senior at each of the Loudoun County public high schools

Drivers who took the toll road on Thursday helped raise the money during their daily commute from Leesburg to Wasington, D.C. To date, the Dulles Greenway event has raised more than $1.5 million for local charities and scholarships.
