Holiday Coalition Deadline Extended
The deadline to apply for assistance has been extended to Nov. 11. More than 2,000 applications are expected.
The deadline to apply for assistance from the 2011 Loudoun County Community Holiday Coalition has been extended to Nov. 11. This year marks the 16th anniversary that the holiday coalition "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" program has helped thousands of Loudoun County families have a wonderful holiday season.
In 2010, more than 1,400 needy families were served while Loudoun Interfaith Relief and the Holiday Coalition helped to distribute food for preparing a Thanksgiving meal to more than 1,550 families. Organizers expect to receive more than 2,000 applications for the program this year.
New this year is the online Holiday Store application, which is available at www.loudoun.gov/holidaycoalition. Once clients are registered, they will receive email notification of their scheduled appointment time to shop at the Holiday Store.
