Informational Workshops to Showcase New Bus Routes

The first of two drop-in workshops will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on March 21 at the Loudoun County Department of Parks and Recreation Services.

Virginia Regional Transit, in partnership with the Loudoun County Office of Transportation Services, invites the public to attend a workshop on new bus routes that will begin in April. 

The workshops are being held on two different dates, but are identical in format. There is no formal agenda; the meetings are designed so that people can drop-in at any time.

The workshops will be held on the following dates:

• Wednesday, March 21, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the offices of the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, 215 Depot Court in Leesburg

•  Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sterling Community Center, 120 Enterprise Street in Sterling.

Staff from Virginia Regional Transit and Loudoun County will be available to explain the new routes, including the Herndon Monroe to Dulles Town Center route and the Sugarland Run route.

Staff will also describe how some of the existing routes have expanded as well as the improved connectivity between the routes. Residents will be able to see the routes on large maps and take copies of the new bus schedules. Everyone who attends the workshop will also receive a giveaway.
