Inova Loudoun Hospital Donates $5,000 for Loudoun Gifts for Good

The recent donation brings hope that other businesses, faith communities and individuals will contribute to those in need.

Inova Loudoun Hospital has once again stepped in to support other nonprofits serving Loudoun residents. Andy Johnston, executive director of Loudoun Cares, announced that Inova has made a $5,000 contribution to Loudoun Gifts for Good (formerly the Loudoun Alternative Gift Fair).

“Inova believes in our nonprofit community. They help in so many ways," said Johnston. "We hope their gift will inspire other businesses, faith communities and individuals to contribute. If 20 other entities contribute $250, we can match Inova’s generosity while supporting a dozen local Loudoun nonprofits.”

Donna Fortier, director of Community Affairs and Mobile Health Services for Inova Loudoun Hospital shared the thinking behind the contribution.

“These are safety net agencies," she said. "Inova is glad to support them and to encourage the community to support them because these agencies are partners with us in making for a healthier community. It is that simple.”

There are twelve agencies benefiting from Loudoun Gifts for Good this year.  They include Blue Ridge Speech & Hearing, Friends of Loudoun Mental Health, Good Shepherd Alliance, La Voz of Loudoun, Loudoun Cares, Loudoun Community Health Center, Loudoun ENDependence, Loudoun Families for Children, Loudoun Interfaith Relief, Loudoun Literacy Council, Loudoun Therapeutic Riding, and Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers.
