Leesburg Farmers Markets Begin Wednesday

Wednesday and Saturday markets take place at the Virginia Village Shopping Center on Catoctin.

The Leesburg Wednesday Farmers Market opens May 1 for the 2013 season in the parking lot of the Virginia Village Shopping Center on Catoctin Court in Leesburg. The market operates from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A Saturday market begins this weekend and operates from 8 a.m. to noon at the same location.

The Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Cooperative Inc. runs the county’s farmers markets, which are dedicated to providing a place for local farms and food artisans to sell their products. Everything sold at the Market is raised, grown or made from scratch by the seller.
