There's still time to get your brainfreeze on the convenience store's birthday
To commemorate its 84th birthday, is giving away free 7.11-ounce Slurpees today only. And what a great day for it! With temperatures soaring close to 100 degrees, Ashburn residents sure could use something to cool them off.
No coupons, no catches, no questions asked. As a matter of fact, in some locations you may find you don't even have to go to the cashier – you almost feel like you are doing something wrong ... but you're not!
Since its 75th birthday in 2002, 7-Eleven has been giving away Slurpees every July 11th (7/11). You might think giving away Slurpees like they have done might hurt the convenience store's bottom line, but, according to the company, there are enough Slurpees sold each year to fill 12 Olympic-sized pools.
