1. Cyclist Shot in Herndon by Stray Bullet A man riding his bike on Summerfield Drive was shot in the stomach by a gun that fired while its owner was loading it in a nearby house, police said. Read more at Herndon Patch.

2. Gay Men's Chorus Celebrates Supreme Court Rulings, Sings National Anthem

3. Police: One Dead Following Incident at Chantilly Daycare

One man was pronounced dead Tuesday following a stabbing at a residential daycare in Chantilly. Three men apparently quarreled over an unknown incident, according to Fairfax County Police.Read more at Chantilly Patch.

4. Man Charged in Early Morning Machete Attack Outside Library

Arlington County police have charged a 28-year-old man with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding following a machete attack against two homeless men early on June 24. The incident was outside Arlington Central Library. Read more at Arlington Patch.

5. Wife of Oakton Pilot: 'Flying Meant So Much to Him'

The wife of the Oakton pilot who died in a fiery crash June 22 at an Ohio air show recalled her husband’s love of flying this week. Charlie Schwenker, 64, of Oakton, and wing walker Jane Wicker, 45, of the Manassas area, were long-time fliers and made up a stunt team that toured the country. Read more at Oakton Patch.

6. Teacher Charged With Rape of Student in 1980s

Prince William County Police have arrested a former teacher at Evangel Christian School on charges of raping a student between 1982 and 1987. Read more at Woodbridge Patch.

7. Police: No Foul Play Suspected in Death at Rose Hill Shopping Center

The Fairfax County Police Department does not suspect foul play in a fatal incident involving gunshots June 24 at the Rose Hill Shopping Center. Police found a man dead of what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury. Read more at Kingstowne Patch.

8. Police: Man Caught Filming Women At Leesburg Wegmans

A West Virginia man has been arrested and charged with allegedly using a small video camera to film women while shopping at the Leesburg Wegmans. Read more at Leesburg Patch.

9. McLean Stalker Reports Investigated by Police

The McLean community is in an uproar over an alleged stalker in and around parks and playgrounds. Police say no arrests have been made because no violations of crimes were found. Read more at McLean Patch.
