Volunteer Loudoun Seeks Nominations for Outstanding Volunteers

The annual program honors individuals and organized groups whose volunteer service has directly benefited the Loudoun community.

Volunteer Loudoun is seeking nominations for its 2012 Outstanding Volunteer Awards. The annual program honors individuals and organized groups in the county whose volunteer service has directly benefited the Loudoun community.  Volunteer projects resulting in exceptional community change are also recognized.

Categories for the 2012 awards include outstanding adult volunteer, youth volunteer, adult public safety, youth public safety, adult team, youth team, club or organization, corporate team, older adult, older adult team, volunteer project, project leader, and family. Additional categories may be considered by the awards selection committee.

Nomination forms are available online or at the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services located at 215 Depot Court, SE, in Leesburg.

All nominations must be received by Friday, March 2. Nominations can be submitted online, by email to volunteerloudoun.@loudoun.gov, or by mail to Volunteer Loudoun, Award Selection Committee, 215 Depot Court, SE, Second Floor, Leesburg, VA 20175.
