Karen Jimmerson Announces Purcellville Town Council Campaign

Town election this May.

Provided, Jimmerson for Town Council:

Karen Jimmerson is pleased to announce her candidacy for Purcellville Town Council in the upcoming May 2014 Town election.

She is running for town council to, among other things, protect the small town values that are being undermined by out-of-town developers.  Recent votes and annexations make it clear that developers have great representation in Purcellville and Karen believes that it is the residents who deserve to be represented.

Although this will be Karen’s first bid for public elected office, she is no stranger to community service. Karen is the secretary for her neighborhood homeowners association, is an active PTA volunteer, community fundraiser, and served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for five years.  Having managed multi-million dollar retail stores for a decade, she understands the challenges and the importance of management.

Through her community activism, she has learned to listen carefully, work hard to become informed, and to make careful, thoughtful decisions that benefit our entire community.  If elected, she will use her experience, vision, and common sense to advance the goals of residents, push for more efficient efforts to solve our traffic problems, and look for new appropriate economic development opportunities that will maintain Purcellville's historical and cultural heritage.
