Loudoun election workers continue to work through computer
problems experienced at a number of county polls today.
The problem involves the electronic poll books used to verify
voters, and has impacted about 25 of the county’s 85 precincts, according to a
press release sent out by the county around 10:30 a.m.
“We are working to resolve the networking problems that occurred early this morning with the laptops that we use to check in voters,” said Judy Brown, Loudoun County General Registrar. “We want to emphasize that each polling place has at least one computer to check in voters as they arrive.”
Polls in Loudoun County are open until 7 p.m. this evening. Any eligible voter who is in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote. More information about the general election, including links to addresses and directions to polling places, is online at www.loudoun.gov/election2013
