LTE: LaRock Unqualified to Serve as Delegate

A Daniel supporter asks what experience her opponent has that will help him lead in the General Assembly.

Dear Editor;

Notwithstanding David LaRock’s character issues that were exposed during the June primary with Delegate Joe May, he simply has no leadership experience to be our legislator.

And now, why won’t he debate his opponent Mary Daniel? Perhaps it is because he can’t articulate the issues in a public forum? This is evidenced by his inconsistency regarding transportation funding.

How can you keep our economic engine moving and roads and bridges safe if you don’t fund transportation? Mary Daniel has the leadership and a plan, look at her record. LaRock has none; no membership or leadership in community organizations, no record of leadership that we can compare and contrast with Mary Daniel’s record of achievement.

Lastly, I’m concerned by LaRock’s extreme views and you should be too. Will he attempt to stop State government as his Tea Party mentors have in Congress? We don’t need another ideologue. We need a levelheaded, mature legislator with proven experience and my vote is for Daniel. A vote for Daniel is a vote for our mainstream values.
