Umstattd to Seek a Seventh Term as Leesburg Mayor

Leesburg Mayor Kristen Umstattd will seek a seventh term in office, she announced today, Jan. 24.

Umstattd, first elected in 2002 previously served as vice mayor and has been a member of the Leesburg Town Council since 1992. This year, the election will be held Nov. 4, along with congressional races.

Umstattd, a U.S. Naval Reserve veteran, and husband Charles K. Moss practice law together in Leesburg. They have one daughter, Kendrick, who is enrolled in the public school system.
