Classical Concerts at the Old Stone School

Join
us for a series of classical music concerts at the Old Stone School in the historic Town of Hillsboro.  There will be four concerts from July through
December directed by Neil Weston, Director of Choral Activities at George Washington
University. Called
Summer Music for Soprano, the first concert features soprano Grace Srinivasan
who will be accompanied by Neil
Weston on piano. Together they will perform music composed by Bach, Mozart,
Purcell, and Vivaldi. At the July 20 concert, sponsored by Fieldstone Farm and
Hunt Country Jewelers, food and wine will be available and sold by North Gate Vineyard and It’s a Peace of Cake.





Tickets
for the Classical Concerts at the Old
Stone School
are $25 each at the door ($22 in advance); $15 for seniors; $10 for students;
and 12 and under free. Season tickets for all four concerts may also be
purchased for $80. Food and drinks are not included in the ticket price. The concert schedule is below:





1. Summer Music for Soprano, Sunday, July

2. Autumnal Tones for Baritone, Sunday,
September 7, 3 to 5 p.m.

Featuring
Kevin Frey, baritone accompanied by Neil Weston, piano performing music from
Vivaldi, Rossini, and Schubert.

3. Winter Music for Violin, Sunday,
November 2, 3 to 5 p.m.


Featuring
Jeffrey Newberger, violin accompanied by Neil Weston, piano with beautiful
melodies for violin by Vivaldi, Bach, and Pachelbel.

4. Christmas Through The Ages , Sunday, December
21, 3 to 5 p.m.



Featuring
a quartet of singers from George
Washington University
who will present a historical tour of Christmas music through the centuries.
 



This classical concert
series, which benefits ongoing restoration efforts at the Old
Stone School,
is co-hosted by the non-profit Hillsboro Community Association & Friends of
the Old Stone
School which manages and maintains the
historic building, and the Town of Hillsboro
