Community Corner

Comedy for the Community

What are you doing Saturday, July 19th? The answer should be: at Comedy for the Community! Hilarious comedians, delicious food, and Fred Smoot of the Washington Redskins are coming together to create a night to remember. Not only will this event be ridiculously fun, it’s also for a great cause.

This event is a
fundraiser for an incredible charity: Community Connections Northern Virginia.
CCNV works ceaselessly to provide services and opportunities for disadvantaged
families. They do everything from providing inexpensive after school programs and
summer enrichment programs, to teaching ESL classes and workshops for adults.
CCNV helps children find strong mentors, and provides families with the skills
they need to succeed and become self-sufficient. Their contributions to our
community are invaluable. You can help continue to make this a reality by
simply buying your ticket to Comedy for the Community today. Not only will you
be rolling on the floor laughing from distinguished comedians Antoine Blackman,
J. Will, and Travis Spencer, you’ll also be helping a child stay off the

streets and a struggling mother raise her children. It’s a win-win, so buy your
ticket today!

Tickets are $30
dollars, a fantastic deal that includes a two-hour comedy show, a full service
buffet, and the knowledge that you’re helping change lives. The night will
consist of two different performances. The doors for matinee performance will

open at 5, and the show will begin 30 minutes later. The late performance will
begin at 8.
