Join us for this FREE community children’s gathering and meet a host of “Nutcracker in a Shell - All Jazzed Up” characters including our lovely and talented Clara and the energetic Wind-Up Doll among others representing many of the classic Nutcracker scenes! November 2013’s "Nutcracker in a Shell – All Jazzed Up!" was presented by Institute of Performing Arts for Youth. "Nutcracker in a Shell – All Jazzed Up!" directed by local gem, Geralyn Ward, presented our largest cast ever, 100+ children from all over Loudoun and Fairfax counties to become our our biggest show to date! Our shorter, jazzed-up spin on the holiday classic Nutcracker is performed annually by kids for kids, and provides a really festive and fun way to introduce your little soldiers and angels to a grand holiday tradition. 

Annual Auditions for Nutcracker are held in June and August each year, and all those who audition are included in the cast! Save the Audition dates for 2014!

Housed in the esteemed Creative Dance Center studios, the Institute of Performing Arts for Youth, IPA Youth, brings dreams alive through dance! From providing full-scale theatrical venue performance and expert choreographic experiences to funding outreach programs for seniors and preschoolers, IPA Youth enlivens, encourages and educates the youth of Northern Virginia through dance.
