Have You Registered for Step Up Loudoun? Deadline: Jan. 10

The annual event asks county students to identify an issue and then development and implement a plan to address it.

Planning to participate in Step Up Loudoun? The deadline to register online is Friday, Jan. 10.

The Step Up Loudoun Youth Competition encourages middle and high school students in Loudoun County to identify an issue in their school, neighborhood or community, create a plan to address that issue and implement the plan.

The goal is to encourage, support and reward the county’s youth for making positive changes in their own lives and the lives of others.

Loudoun Youth Inc., Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services, the Advisory Commission on Youth, Leadership Loudoun and Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) all collaborate to put on Step Up Loudoun Youth.

Organizers will announce the winners on Tuesday, April 1, at the LCPS Administrative Building in Ashburn. The top three winners received cash prizes from the YouthQuest Foundation: First $1,000, second $500 and third $250.
