Having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit? Try heading out to Leesburg’s annual Christmas and Holiday Parade starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

Town officials confirmed Friday that they intend to keep the parade scheduled for Saturday, despite concerns about some pending winter weather.

The forecast currently calls for light snow Saturday morning, and the schedule could potentially change. But for now plans are to move forward at 10 a.m.

Before you head out, check the town’s website (www.leesburgva.gov) and Facebook pages (www.facebook.com/LeesburgVirginia and www.facebook.com/IdaLeePark) for updates.

The parade begins at Ida Lee Park and moves along King Street through the Historic Downtown area and on to Fairfax Street.

The Leesburg Police Department will begin shutting down streets at 9:30 a.m.
