'Commitment to the Dream': Leesburg's Annual MLK March Set for Monday

For more than two decades town residents have paid tribute to the civil rights leader with the march.

For the 22nd year, people from across Loudoun County will unite to pay tribute to civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a march and celebration.

With the theme “Honoring 50 Years of Commitment to the Dream,” marchers will gather at the Loudoun County Courthouse at 10 a.m., listen to a prayer by Pastor David Milam, of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, and then march to the Douglass Community Center. Refreshments will be served at Douglass, where the program will begin at noon, featuring music and inspirational performances.

Bring your nonperishable food items to Douglass Community Center during the event to benefit Loudoun Interfaith Relief!
