Meet Abby - Pure Puppy Love!

Looking to add some fun and energy into your life? Meet Abby, an adorable, 4-month-old Dobie-mix who is super sweet, playful, and loving, and looking to find a family of her own.

Hey Guys! My name is Abigail, but all my friends call me Abby. I’m an adorable, happy-go-lucky, and loving Dobie-mix girl. I’m only four months old and a mere 25 pounds, but I’m growing quickly and will be around 55 or 60 pounds when fully grown. I’m really playful and funny too, especially when I hop around like a bunny. I have lots of puppy energy, enthusiasm, and love to share with my new family.

I just came into rescue and am so glad that Mutts Matter saved me... The shelter is no place for a young pup like me. Apparently, I was surrendered because my owner was moving and felt I was “too active.” Can you believe that someone would leave me behind? Gosh! I’m a puppy, what did they expect? All I want to do is love, love, love, and they didn’t even give me a chance to settle in. Their loss.

I just moved into my new foster home and can already tell my foster mom is cool and she gets it. She has a lot of puppy experience and fosters many of the young pups that come into Mutts Matter Rescue. So I’m in good hands now, and have two pup siblings in the house to play with and learn from.

I have a great temperament and don’t have a mean or aggressive bone in my body. I’m good with other dogs, kids, and just about anyone who will pay attention to me. I would do well in an active home, as I have lots of puppy energy and will need regular exercise and playtime to stay healthy and balanced.

Like all puppies, I’m super cute, but I’m also a serious commitment and don’t want to end up back in a shelter. I’m still learning my manners and like to jump up on people when I greet them – but I just want to love them! My foster mom is working with me on potty training and basic commands, but I would definitely benefit from formal obedience training. I’m smart, eager to learn, and very food motivated, which will make training me that much easier. Oh, and did I mention how cute I am too?!
