Carsie Bozeman Jr., 68

Obituary and service information from Loudoun Funeral Chapel.

On Sunday, April 13th, Carsie passed away surrounded by his family and after a 10 month battle with cancer.

Carsie Bozeman, Jr was born in Houston, MS on April 26, 1945. He was the first child born to Carsie and Ruby Lee Bozeman. He grew up in Rolling Fork, MS and graduated from Rolling Fork High School in 1963. He enlisted in the Army in 1965 with an honorable discharge in 1972. He married his lifetime love Ella in November of 1969. After the Army, he went on to be successful at several different career paths, with the last being a program manager at SAIC. Carsie was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, a member of Masonic Lodge 264 of Herndon and wonderful husband, brother, father and grandfather.

Carsie is survived by his loving wife, Ella of 43 years, daughters, Erin of New Market, MD and Estelle of Sterling, VA; grandson, Julian Lynn of New Market, MD; sister, Betty Schwartz-Bozeman (Norbert Schwartz) of Durango, CO; mother-in-law Maggie Nortey of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-laws Janice Burns (James Riley) of Charlotte, NC and Sandra Barber (Robert Barber) of Rock Hill, SC; brother-in-law, Joseph Burns of Bowie, MD and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and lots of loving friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Christian Fellowship with Pastor Fred Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
