Mr. Joseph Matthew Timko, 77 of Leesburg, Virginia died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
Joe was born Friday, November 20, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was a son of the late Joseph F. Timko and the late Mary Maturcanik Timko.
After high school, he served as a Private in the Air Force from 1955 until 1959.
Then went to work with the FAA, and worked as an Electronics Technician at the Leesburg Center.
He retired in 2008 after over 51.8 years of service.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Alma Timko in 2008, and his younger brother John Timko…
He leaves to cherish his memory son, Joseph F. & Margaret Timko of Herndon, VA, and his daughter, Kathleen Frye of Manassas, VA; his brother Ralph Timko of Manassas, VA, his sister Mary Ann Luna of Phoenix, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Katie Timko, Elizabeth and Erin Frye.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church located at 231 North King Street Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Father John Mosimann officiating.
Interment will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent in Mr. Timko’s memory to Optum Hospice & Palliative Care 12018 Sunrise Valley Dr. Suite 400 Reston, VA 20191.
