Obituary: Amy Ann Hendrix, 82

Amy Ann Hendrix, 82, of Leesburg, VA, formerly of Oxon Hill, MD, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, peacefully at home.

Mrs. Hendrix was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Washington, DC, to the late Percy Willard and Thelma V. Money Graves. Her husband: James B. Hendrix, Jr.; a daughter: Vivian B. Hendrix; three brothers: Jack, Bobby, Gene and a sister, Loys all predeceased her.

Mrs. Hendrix is survived by two daughters: Amy Jo Hendrix of Leesburg and Sharon M. Stevens; a brother: William “Jug” H. Graves of La Plata, MD; two sisters: Ruth M. Locke of Mt. Airy, MD, Doris M. “Judy” Coleman of Taneytown, MD; three grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other dear relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until services begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, in Leesburg. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD, with Rev. Cary Johnson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite B, Bethesda, MD 20814; or Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042; or Inova Loudoun Hospital Foundation, 44035 Riverside Parkway #420, Leesburg, VA 20176.
