Suzanna T. Sokol, 94, of Chantilly, VA, since 2005 – formerly of Westbury, NY – passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.
Mrs. Sokol was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Hempstead, NY, to the late Klemens and Genevive Humenski Grabowski. Her husband Stanly J. Sokol predeceased her in 1984. She graduated from St. John’s University with her RN degree and worked with Nassau County until retiring in the late 1970s.
Mrs. Sokol is survived by her beloved five children: Ronald Sokol, Robert Sokol, Lorraine Hanks, James Sokol and Arlene Hilton; a sister: Emily Junda; a brother-in-law: Walter SoKol; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Sept. 30 at St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church in Westbury, NY. Interment followed in the Cemetery of the Holy Road in Westbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation, 235 Old Waterford Road, Leesburg, VA 20176.
