Warren "Warnie" Stewart, 58, of Leesburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Loudoun Hospital.
He was born in Loudoun County to the late Margaret Stewart. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his son; Brad Alsberry; brother, Richard Stewart and sister, Mary Moore Taylor.
As lifelong resident of Loudoun County he graduated from Loudoun County High School in 1973. He worked for Volunteers for America in Transitional Housing for the past nine years. Along with being a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Aldie, he was always volunteering at Walk-A-Thon's supporting the homeless and the Food Bank. He loved playing pool, going shopping at Wal-Mart and cheering on his favorite team, the Redskins.
He is survived by his partner of 31 years, Bert Robinson; brothers, Matthew and Chris Stewart; sisters, Geraldine Reid and Patricia Stewart; children, Samantha and Christopher; nine granddaughters; six grandsons; four great-grandchildren; five Godchildren and a host of cousins, friends and family members.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date.
