Bear Hit By Vehicle North of Leesburg
Follows death of large black bear hit by truck last month.
A bear was struck by a vehicle Wednesday on Route 15 north of Leesburg near Lucketts Road, according to a WTOP report.
The incident follows the death of a black bear last month on a different stretch of Route 15 last month.

Virginia State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller noted at the time the bear ran into the roadway near Gap Road, causing the collision. In that case, the bear died on impact.
