California Prison Escapee Arrested in Lansdowne
Carolyn Macy, 67, was arrested by members of the LCSO last week, 12 years after her escape.
A woman who escaped from a Los Angeles detention center 12 years ago was arrested last week in Lansdowne by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Carolyn Macy, 67, was found and arrested at Leisure World after the sheriff's office received a tip she had been living there.
According to the LCSO, Macy was sent to state prison in Santa Clara County, Calif. on May 25, 1999 for a three-year sentence on fraud and identity theft charges. She escaped custody in February 2000 after she was transferred to another facility.
Members of the LCSO and the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office took Macy into custody at her home Oct. 26 without incident.

She is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a felony extradition warrant.
