Credit Card Thefts Target Elementary Schools; Have You Seen Her?

Investigators want to speak with the subject or subjects in recent incidents, according to Leesburg Police Department.

Leesburg Police investigators are searching for women identified in security camera footage right before allegedly using credits cards stolen from the parking lots of two area elementary schools.

On two Saturdays in the fall of 2012, credit cards were stolen from unlocked cars at Tolbert Elementary School and Harper Park Middle School during school sport functions.

On two Saturdays this spring, credits cards were stolen from cars parked at the same schools and used by a woman wearing the same outfit from two years earlier: in what appears to be a black and white blouse and dark pants.

Anyone with information about the identity of the subject can call Det. M. Drogin at 703-771-4541 or at mdrogin@leesburgva.gov.

A second possible suspect is also sought in the theft of credit cards from a SUV parked at Tolbert Elementary School. She allegedly took several cards on May 3 and used them for high-end laptops at Staples, Best Buy and Office Depot in Reston.

Anyone with information about the identity of the subject can call Det. K. Augustine at 703-771-4533 or at kaugustine@leesburgva.gov.
