Driver Abducted: Investigators Searching for Other Victims

Two suspects arrested, but other drivers were likely targeted.

Loudoun County deputies are seeking drivers who may have been approached by two suspects demanding a ride. The two men were arrested after abducting a driver Friday evening.

Michael L. Jackson, 45, of Aldie, and Maurice Smith, 47, of no fixed address, are charged with abduction and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office believes there is at least one additional victim who fled the area after the men attempted to enter their vehicle, according to a release.

A Maryland man was driving Foxcroft Road near St. Louis Road at 5:15 p.m. Friday when he noticed two men on foot stopping the vehicles in front of him.

After two other drivers fled, the men approached the victim's vehicle and demanded a ride. According to police, they entered the vehicle and one of them grabbed the victim's arm demanding he drive them to Purcellville.

The victim was able to call 911 at one point and law enforcement took the two suspects into custody at a Purcellville 7-Eleven.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking the drivers of the other two vehicles, or any other witnesses to this incident, to contact Deputy Specialist S. McCormack at 571-246-5089 or email sean.mccormack@loudoun.gov.
