UPDATE: HAZMAT Scene Under Control

A suspected methamphetamine lab was found after Leesburg Police responded to a stolen vehicle, in Leesburg.

The Leesburg Police Communications Center received an alert from On-Star, at around 12:06 a.m., for a reported stolen vehicle from Indiana in the 100 block of Clubhouse DR SW, in Leesburg.

Patrol units responded and located the vehicle along with a male and female associated with it. Officers looked through the vehicle windows and observed items that indicated a possible methamphetamine lab and also detected a noxious order.

The vehicle and surrounding area was secured and HAZMAT specialists responded and rendered all items safe. A subsequent search of an apartment associated with the occupants of the vehicle was conducted and suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located inside.

Two subjects are in custody and the investigation is continuing by the Leesburg Police Department and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.

Members of the Fairfax County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Response Team and Special Agents with the Virginia State Police assisted with the investigation.
