Cooley Gallery Burglarized

Leesburg Police are investigating a burglary of The Cooley Gallery.

At this time, the Leesburg Police Department is investigating an overnight burglary in downtown Leesburg.    The Leesburg Police Communications Center received a call at 7:35 am.  The caller advised that the front window at 12 South King Street, (The Cooley Gallery) was broken out. A second business at 110 South King Street (King Street Coffee) had the glass in the front door broken overnight as well. No entry was made into that business.  Investigators are determining if the two incidents are related.    Because investigators are still on the scene and this is an active investigation, no further information can be provided at this time.   If anyone has information concerning this incident, they are asked to call the Leesburg Police Department at 703-771-4500.  Those wishing to remain anonymous can call the Leesburg Police Crime Line at 703-443-TIPS. Another business in the downtown area, the Rouge Boutique, at 17 South King Street,  was discovered to have a window in the front door broken overnight.  As the investigation continues, the damage at 17 South King Street will be looked at to see if it is in any way related to the burglary at 12 South King Street.
