UPDATE: Missing Leesburg Teenager Located; Home Safe

The Heritage High student did not get on his bus and may have attempted to walk to school.

UPDATE: The teenager has been located and is home safe with his family now, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

Authorities seek help locating a Leesburg teenager who was last seen near Harper Park Middle School, on Potomac Station Drive NE, around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Elijah Jackson, 16, did not get on his school bus and may have attempted to walk to his school, Heritage High School, along Evergreen Mills Road SE, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

Elijah is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound black male who was wearing black sweat pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a red- and yellow-striped backpack. He might have been wearing glasses.

Anyone with information about Elijah’s location is asked to call the Leesburg Police at (703) 771-4500.
