Leesburg Police Investigate Rash of Vehicle Break-Ins

Twenty-seven vehicles found damaged in Leesburg early Thursday morning.

At approximately 3:30 AM Thursday morning, the Leesburg Police Department received a call from a citizen who heard car windows being smashed.   Officers arrived on the scene in the 500 block of Glade Fern Terrace and searched for the suspect with negative results. Officers checked the area and found approximately 27 vehicles had damage to them.   These vehicles did have property taken from them as well. 

The Leesburg Police Department LOCK TAKE HIDE OR LOSE educational program endorses, encourages and reminds citizens to that it is not only important to lock cars, but to remove or hide items of value.   This may include but not limited to lap top computers, MP3 players, GPS devices, purses and cell phones.
