Leesburg Police Search For Missing Man

Seventy-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer's departed home without phone or wallet

Leesburg Police are seeking the public's help in finding a 70-year-old man who went missing Saturday night.

In a statement Saturday, police said Peter S. Daley, 70, was picked up by a taxi around 7:30 p.m. from the Morningside Assisted Living facility. The cab dropped him off at Whites Ferry around 7:45 p.m.

It's not clear whether Daley took the ferry across the Potomac River, police said.

Daley left home without his cell phone or wallet, police said in the statement; he also suffers from Alzheimer's disease and dementia. 

He stands around 5'10" and 140 lbs., with blue eyes, brown graying hair and glasses. Police said he was last seen wearing black pants, a red polo shirt, socks and sandals
