Leesburg Snatch and Run Suspects Still on the Loose

Leesburg police are still looking for two men they say robbed a woman last month at the Fields Apartments in Leesburg — and they need your help.

Police released sketches of both men for the first time Friday in an effort to broaden their investigation into the July robbery.

The robbery happened around 1:20 a.m. July 16, police said, when the two men allegedly approached a woman in the common area courtyard of The Fields Apartments and took her grey Coach purse along with other valuables inside — including an iPhone 4s with a purple cover.

The apartments are located in the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE.

After ripping the purse away from the woman, both men fled toward Hancock Place NE, police said.

Both suspects are described as black males in their late teens to early 20’s. Both are approximately 5-foot-9. The first suspect (left) is about 140 pounds; the second weighs around 180.  The hat on the second suspect was red in color, police said.
