Leesburg Tire-Slashing May be Related to Vehicle Vandalism in Ashburn

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating several cases of vandalism that occurred this weekend in Ashburn, which may be linked to two tire slashing incidents in Leesburg.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person or persons who spray-painted and vandalized numerous cars in Leesburg and Ashburn this weekend.

The suspect or suspects spray-painted nine vehicles – in most cases with the number ‘6’ or ‘68’ – in the area of Rainsboro Drive, Ruffsdale Court, Catlett Place, Bristow Circle and Mustoe Place on Saturday and Sunday in the Ashburn Village community. Residents of Dubois Court and Ridgeway Drive also reported several cases of vandalism, including damaged windows and tires. Residents reported three vehicles on Shady Glen Terrace that had their tires slashed also.

Tires were slashed on two vehicles on Harbor Hills Terrace in Leesburg during the same time period, and police are investigating the possibility that these cases are linked.

If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, according to police.
