Leesburg Volunteer Fire Co. Receives $5,000 Grant

The recent donation will go towards the purchase of boots, which will help protect the firemen.

The Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company received a $5,000 grant last week, which will help equip 17 firefighters with a new pair of fire boots. The donation came from the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.  

Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company President Richard Wolfe accepted the check on Sept. 10 from Erin Lively of Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. Ginny Pierson represented Independent Insurance Agency, which was responsible for selecting the grant recipient.
