Man Arrested After Barricade Situation in Leesburg Home

Warren H. Ours, 60, arrested after shooting a firearm, barricading self in home Wednesday.

A domestic dispute in which a Leesburg man fired several rounds from a firearm ended without serious incident Wednesday as safety officials coaxed him from a barricade he'd created inside his Jodhpur Drive home.

Warren H. Ours, 60, was charged with attempted malicious wounding after the incident, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Thursday. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

The LCSO said sheriff's deputies responded around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to Ours' home on Jodhpur Drive.

They discovered during an earlier domestic dispute, Ours had fired several rounds from a firearm toward a woman, who also resided in the home. She escaped and was uninjured, but Ours had barricaded himself alone inside the residence.

Members of Loudoun Sheriff’s Office SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Teams were called to the scene for assistance. After several hours of negotiations, Ours was coaxed from the home and taken into custody.
