Missing and Endangered Leesburg Man Reported

The Leesburg Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating an adult male who was reported missing on Sunday.

The Leesburg Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Emerson Aldron Ramirez Edejer, a 20-year-old man who is considered missing and endangered. 

He was last seen at his Leesburg home on Edmonton Terrace NE on Sunday, May 20, at about 10:30 a.m. Family members say he was on his way to play basketball at a nearby court.

This is around the same time that a 911 call was made regarding in a pond west of the Leesburg Bypass and south of Battlefield Parkway in the northeast area of Leesburg.

Master Police Officer Christopher Tidmore said there isn't any evidence right now that connects the drowning and Edejer's disappearance. 

"Right now we're investigating both incidents as two separate incidents," Tidmore said. "We're of course considering if this person could be involved in the other case, but we have no information and no evidence to support that."

Edejer was last seen on Sunday wearing a red shirt, white basketball shorts, black Nike high-top sneakers, while possibly carrying a black basketball. He is approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. 

Edejer suffers from a bipolar disorder and has not taken his medication as indicated by family members. Due to this condition, he may become hostile and disoriented.
