Mystery Gunfire Returns to Loudoun Neighborhood

Three calls between Monday and Tuesday morning, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Same area where an armed, camouflaged stranger was spotted last month.

More mysterious gunfire has been heard in the neighborhoods off Riverside Parkway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Last month, there were three incidents where police were called out to investigate gunfire, but couldn't find any evidence of a suspect. In one case, a witnesses described a man in camouflage with a weapon. Another incident was reported where the suspicious man was spotted, but there was no gunfire.

At 7:43 p.m. Monday, officers visited the 18900 block of Canoe Landing Court after reports of gunfire in a wooded area near Goose Creek. Nothing was located.

Officers were back out to investigate a call of multiple gunshots less than an hour later in the area of Fieldsview Court and Upper Meadow Drive on the other side of the creek. Foot patrols were conducted, but nothing was located.

At 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the 43100 block of Kingsport Drive regarding a single gunshot. The caller noted it was followed by the sound of a motorcycle driving off. Again, nothing suspicious was located.
