The Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event helps raise public awareness about fire safety in celebration of Emergency Fire Prevention Week.
This year's activities will include a life safety trailer for learning how to evacuate your house when a smoke detector sounds, a vehicle rescue demonstration, station and apparatus tours and a live landing of a medical transport helicopter, around noon.
The event is free and open to the public. Station 20 is located at 61 Plaza Street, N.E., in Leesburg. Call 703-771-9103.
