UPDATE: Police Identify Driver Killed in Single-Car Wreck Saturday in Loudoun County

Pickup truck overturned on Route 7, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver involved in a single-car wreck in the overnight hours Saturday morning died at the scene, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver who died was identified by police as Eddie W. Todd, 45, of Philomont, Va. He was driving a 2005 Nissan Titan pickup truck.

At 12:18 a.m. Saturday, Virginia State Police responded to the scene on Route 7 near Yellow Schoolhouse Road. 

A pickup truck was traveling along Route 7 when it ran off the right side of the road and into a ditch, where it overturned, according to a State Police release.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.

State police say speed was a factor in the crash.
