Police Still Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Is Working with Other Law Enforcement Agencies to Track Down a Suspect in Four Similar Robberies



The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is joining the Winchester Police Department, the Fairfax County Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate four similar bank robberies.

The most recent robbery happened Nov. 4 at the Bank of Clarke County located at 200 block of North Loudoun Street in Winchester. Witnesses of the various robberies described a similar suspect: a white male in his late 20s between 5'7" and 5'9" in height and weighing 150 to 180 pounds.

This suspect may have struck the Bank of America Branch in Regal Plaza in Sterling on Oct. 6. The robber displayed a weapon in this incident, and got away with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Similar robberies occurred in Reston on Oct. 21 and in Great Falls on Oct. 26. In Reston, a robber implied he had a weapon during the robbery of Presidential Bank in the 1600 block of Reston Parkway.

At the Capital One Bank in Great Falls, the robber pointed a gun at the tellers before taking an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

If the caller wishes to remain anonymous, he or she can call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information provided to Loudoun Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could receive up to $1,000.
