Police: Three Pedestrians Struck in Wreck

Women were trying to assist a stranded motorist, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Three pedestrians were injured in a wreck Tuesday morning, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The women had exited their car to assist another motorist.

Brittany Russell, 26, of Leesburg, has been charged with reckless driving.

At 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, a driver got stuck near Stumptown Road and Mountain Meadow Lane in the Leesburg area.

The women had parked their car and were walking toward the disabled vehicle when a Honda Accord driven by Russell rounded the curve and she lost control, striking a parked cars, according to deputies.

The parked car pushed into two of the women. Russell's Honda then struck the third woman and the disabled vehicle, according to deputies.

Two of the women were taken to local hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
