Second Arrest Made in Valley View, Catoctin Gunfire

No injuries were reported in June 2 incident, but a firearm is suspected of causing damage to a home in Leesburg.

The Leesburg Police Department on Tuesday announced the arrest of a second man believed to have been involved with gunfire heard fired along Catoctin Circle SW June 2.

Ian “Oddie” Isme, 23, of no fixed address, was taken into custody shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, according to a report from the Leesburg Police Department.

Police previously arrested his brother, Manuel “Pancho” Gonzalez, 21, of Leesburg.

Law enforcement received multiple reports of gunshots shots in the area of Catoctin and Valley View Avenue SW around 9:45 p.m. June 2. Investigators found bullet casings along the 200 block of Valley View, but no injuries or damage was reported. Then around 4:25 a.m. June 3, a resident of the 100 block of Catoctin Circle reported bullet holes in the front of their home. No injuries were reported.

On June 7, law enforcement officers arrested Manuel "Pancho" Gonzalez, 21, of Leesburg, on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony. Investigators allege Gonzalez was in the vehicle from which shots were fired. He remains in custody without bond.

Investigators located Isme Monday and took him into custody at an apartment on Fort Evans Road NE. He remains in custody without bond.
