Shots Fired Into Home in Leesburg

Leesburg Police Department seeking information on incident.

Investigators are seeking information on shots fired into a home Friday, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

Officers were called at 5:15 p.m. Friday at a home in the 100 block of Burnell Place SE regarding the reports of gunshots.

The homeowner told police an unknown person drove past the home and fired several shots into the home.

Officers located bullet casings in the front of the residence as well as damage to the home where several bullets had struck, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation, but it is believed to be an isolated incident.
