It's that time of year when everyone wants to get outside, and not just law-abiding citizens, either.

Just as you can count on leaf blowers and snow shovels to disappear in December, good weather brings its own seasonal brand of thievery.

For example, two victims reported that they were swimming Monday afternoon near the 13900 block of Freedom Center Lane in Leesburg.

When they got out to dry off, they realized someone had stolen several items left unattended while they were in the water.

And swimmers aren't the only springtime victims. In Fredericksburg last week, a Carrabba's restaurant barely had time to dust off its outdoor furniture before it was stolen from the restaurant's patio.
