Stabbing Leesburg's First Homicide in 2014

Victim and suspect found Friday afternoon, according to media reports.

A 31-year-old mother died from stab wounds Friday afternoon. It was the first homicide in Leesburg in 2014, according to several media reports.

The victim was found at a building at 125 Clubhouse Drive at 2 p.m., and a second individual, a 43-year-old man, was discovered sitting on a park bench. He was believed to be suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds to his arms, according to ABC7.

Both individuals were flown to Inova Fairfax, where the victim died from her wounds. The suspect will remain in Leesburg Police custody while he recovers, according to a Loudoun Times report.

The couple reportedly were in a domestic relationship and had two small children, who were not at home at the time of the incident, according to Leesburg Today.
